Country Wedding Music

Country wedding music is admittedly not my forte when it comes to knowing what's out there. But as I looked into it, I discovered there is a HUGE amount of country love songs that are perfect for your wedding. The lyrics are often raw and very honest, but they communicate all the great values two people have on their wedding day -- love forever, faithfulness, gratitude.

And compared to a couple decades ago, much of country music is considered "crossover" music, in that it has some pop influence in it. So even your guests who may think they don't like country music may be pleasantly surprised to know that the songs they're enjoying at your ceremony are actually considered country!

Generally, most wedding singers can handle singing country wedding music as well. It's very accessible for the human voice, and while I have heard some wedding singers who really were not suited to country style (ahem, some shouldn't be singing at all...), it doesn't demand a voice degree to give a heartfelt and lovely performance of the song.

I would say that your choice of musicians will be important if you want country wedding music. Probably not organ or flute or trumpet here. But piano, acoustic guitar, and even a violinist who knows something of fiddle-style (as opposed to strictly classical) -- these musicians should be able to do this music style well.
