Songwriter: Sara Groves
Category: Contemporary, Christian

Sara Groves is a Minnesota high-school-teacher-turned-songwriter-and-performer who is well-respected for her insightful, well-crafted lyrics. She's released 10 albums so far since her first in 2001. This particular love song comes from her 2005 release "All Right Here."

She and her husband have a passion to "nurture other marriages by being open about their own shortcomings and lessons learned." (from Sara's own bio). "At one moment, you're looking at each other with thoughts like, I can't believe I married you -- what was I thinking? And you go from that place where there's no common ground to complete tenderness and the complete knowing of each other. Troy and I are learning how to resolve conflict better. Keeping that tenderness in the equation has been the greater victory of our marriage."

From this place of hard-earned experience, her songs about love, romance and marriage resonate with authenticity and simple but profound meaning.

Sheet music (piano/vocal)

Speak in a summer tone
Pause in the after glow
Tenderly whisper my name
Tell me once again why I am your bride
So I can fly
So I can fly

Pause in your busy day
Look extra long my way
Wink at me across the room
Kiss me longer
Touch my arm when I am by your side
So I can fly
So I can fly

Oh how the little things
Strengthen my tiny wings
Help me to take on the world
When you love me there's nothing I wouldn't try
I might even fly
I might even fly
I might even fly
