Lost In Your Eyes

Songwriter/Performer: Debbie Gibson
Category: 80s

Debbie Gibson wrote this song for her second album Electric Youth, which came out in 1988. It was her most successful single, staying at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 3 weeks in a row. The song sat for a number of years before she made a new arrangement with Tim & Ryan O'Neill (the O'Neill Brothers) for their 2006 album Someone You Love. And interestingly, she re-recorded it one more time in 2010 in both English and Japanese! It was used for a Japanese album called Ms. Vocalist.

It's hard to locate piano/vocal sheet music of just this song, unless you want just the chords and lyrics, but below is a book containing more than 40 hits from the 80s, including Debbie's song:
Sheet music (piano/vocal)

I get lost in your eyes
And I feel my spirits rise
And soar like the wind.
Is it love that I am in?

I get weak in a glance
Isn't that what's called romance?
...And now I know
'Cause when I'm lost I can't let go

I don't mind not knowing what I'm headed for
You can take me to the skies...
It's like being lost in heaven
When I'm lost in your eyes

I just fell, don't know why
Something's there we can't deny...
And when I first knew
Was when I first looked at you

And if I can't find my way
If salvation seems worlds away
Oh, I'll be found
When I am lost in your eyes

I get weak in a glance
Isn't this what's called romance?
Oh, I'll be found
When I am lost in your eyes
